Some things can be pieced back together... your reputation isn't one of them! Protect your personal and business information by having an innovative shredder in place in your office or practice.

Information theft is the fastest growing type of fraud in Europe. Secure and safe disposal of documents and information is vital, not only for your personal data but for that of your customers too!

Under the Data Protection Act, an organisation should not discard intact customer, staff and supplier information: it must be securely destroyed; not doing so could result in a £500,000 fine! Statistics from the last National Identity Fraud Prevention Week found:

  • 36% of businesses don't have a comprehensive policy or procedure in place to help prevent identity fraud
  • One third of employees are still throwing away documents without shredding them first.

Ensure that you destroy hard copies of information that could put your business at risk. Items you might want to shred include:

  • Bank/credit card statements
  • Client lists
  • Customer/Patient details
  • Utility bills
  • Accounting records
  • Letter headed paper
  • Tax returns
  • Medical records
  • Compliment slips
  • Salary details
  • Financial/sales reports
